I just came across a funny article that mentioned fixed gear track bikes.  This article comments on a Wall Street Journal column arguing that Republicans need to work harder on attracting the younger generation...the college educated, free thinking individuals; The independent-minded voters who embrace a progressive lifestyle but not progressive politics.  This lifestyle often gets associated with the fixed gear track bike and is a common stereotype for the individuals who ride them.  The article went on to say that the author is, "skeptical the GOP can find "righty tighties on fixies" - that's a fixed-gear bike, for those not in the know."  I Thought that was pretty funny...you can check out the full article here.
